Power Module Technology Inc, was founded in March 2005 to design, develop, manufacture and sell broadband pallet & module amplifiers to FM Radio Broadcast, VHF TV & UHF TV transmitter integrators, military and commercial & industrial communications radio manufacturers in both domestic and foreign markets. Initial customers, typically smaller Broadcast transmitter manufacturers, were disappointed with the then current pallet/module availability. With the Broadcast market growing at a record pace, these customers did not have or want to set up in-house capability to develop and build pallet/module amplifier products. They wanted a reliable source of high quality, cost effective pallet/module amplifiers.
As the “outsourcing” trend continues in all forms of manufacturing and in particular in the electronics industry, a market niche has evolved that PMT is penetrating and supporting. Electronic System manufacturers have found that it is much more cost effective to purchase broadband pallet/module amplifiers then it is to design, develop, and manufacture these products “in-house”. Multiple opportunities are being presented to PMT for pallet amplifiers, modular amplifiers, and other special purpose applications by system houses covering the frequency bands from 2MHz to 3GHz in power ranges from a few watts to hundreds of watts.
These opportunities allow PMT to use current technology and develop new technologies to compliment our broadband and technical expertise and deliver solutions covering very narrow bands targeted for specific, higher RF Power applications. Broadcast, military, commercial, industrial, and medical markets all seek to develop external amplifier sources and PMT is focusing on and capturing business this very attractive market.
In the future PMT will participate in these markets, hone our expertise as a niche amplifier manufacturer and capitalize on the “out sourcing” model that is rapidly enveloping the electronic industry.
